Raw Material Storage

Store kerosene, the main raw material of Normal Paraffin, received from S-Oil.

Fractionation Distillation

The raw material is transferred from Feed Tank and pre-heated. in the column, the light cut is fed into overhead and the Bottom into the Hydrotreating Unit.

Add Hydrogen HYDROTREATING

By adding hydrogen to KEROSENE, the sulfur, oxygen, and nitrogen compounds that lower the ACTIVATION of MOLECULAR SIEVE in the MOLEX UNIT are removed.

The column that removes the Heavy oil in Kerosene. in the Feed, the oil that has high boiling point is separated at the Bottom and sent to the heavy Cut storage, the overhead oil is fed into the Molex process.

Molex Extracting Process

The selective extracting process of Normal Paraffin and Raffinate in the Molex Unit, among the Kerosene inflow from the Hydrotreating Unit.

The process in which Normal Paraffin inflow from Molex is sorted by the Carbon Grade.

LAB ProcessLAB : Normal Paraffin

Features and Advantages of LAB Process

- Flexible process conditions for manufacturing of products according to
- It minimizes the BI(Bromine Index) figure and the alkylate content in C9-, C14 which may affect LAS as LAB downstream.

Raw Material Storage

A process necessary for stable supply of Normal Paraffin, before transferring to the Pacol process.

Pacol

A dehydrogenation process that heats the Normal Paraffin inputs at a temparature range of 470~484℃ and transports it through the Pacol Reactor to convert it to Olefin.

Alkylation

The Olefin produced through the dehydrogenation process is reacted with Benzene in order to produce Alkylate.

Fractionation

The Benzene, excessively added in Alkylation, and the NP residual after dehydrogenation are separated by distillation. These are recycled to alkylation process and base material tower. The final remnant of Alkylate is separated according to the specification at the Distillation column.
